Canlak Coatings is a growing company offering a comprehensive portfolio of wood coatings products that serve the sports, commercial, and residential flooring, as well as cabinets and furniture manufacturing sectors. As Sales Manager for the On-Site Flooring team, you will play an instrumental role in developing and executing the growth strategy for the onsite market. You will have a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals.

PRIMARY TASKS
- Represent our company’s products, starting with a deep and comprehensive understanding and following with consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs
- Develop and implement territory action plans through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field
- Directly manage select customers based on scale and importance to business
- Lead direct sales team of 10 and ensure proper management of all customers
- Work closely with Business Development and Technical Representative to grow the business, both domestic and international
- Use knowledge of market to help develop new products that give an advantage to Canlak
- Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business
- Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities
- Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and relay objection handling
- Prepare professional, complete, concise and accurate reports, proposals, and other documentation as required for executive-level presentations
- Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers
- Analyze markets to obtain latest trends, customer needs, competitors’ position and depth of customer base to re-design marketing strategy
- Administer entire sales process from identifying customers to signing of contract
- Manage pipeline thru tracking and system implementation
- Manage pricing, deal pricing and other sales proposal activities
- Negotiate contracts with customers
- Ensure continuous progress towards attaining sales targets, develop weekly sales forecasts
- Conduct sales presentations
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks
- Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice

Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels of a business unit
- Excellent interpersonal with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with customers, leads, and members of Canlak Coatings
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of company products and logistics
- Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business
- Advanced level of computer literacy. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and Salesforce or similar CRM software
- Strong negotiation skills and proven record to grow customer base
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts
- Ability to travel
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5-10 years working experience in Sales – Paint or Chemical Industries strongly preferred
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Must be able to remain in stationary position for prolonged periods of time
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about to access information such as file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer
- The person in this position frequently communicates with customers and co-workers who have inquiries. Must be able to exchange accurate information in such situations
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be available to travel – at times extensively
