Absco Platinum 2K Wood Floor Finish Hardener Part B
Absco Platinum 2K Wood Floor Finish Part A – Semi-Gloss, Satin, Matte
Absco Platinum 2K Wood Floor Finish is a high-performing 2K wood floor finish with the ease of a 1K. With a remarkably long open-time, exceptional durability, and excellent scratch and stain resistance, Platinum 2K is the perfect product for professionals and contractors who demand ease-of-use and fast return to service times. Platinum 2K uses no isocyanate or aziridine catalyst, and is nationally VOC compliant with easy water cleanup.
Must mix Platinum 2K Part B Hardener to Platinum 2K Part A Finish for maximum durability.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: Add water to Part B according to instructions on bottle. Do not add water to Part A. Slowly drizzle Part B into Part A while stirring. Continue stirring the mixture vigorously for 1-2 minutes and then allow to sit for five minutes before applying.
APPLICATION: For new floors, abrade seal coat and tack with water. For screen and coats, clean floor with Craftsman’s Choice Tie Tack and then screen thoroughly with a new 120 grit. Vacuum and tack with water (no mineral spirits). Catalyze Platinum 2K according to instructions on catalyst bottle. Eliminate direct air drafts on floor during application. Apply Platinum 2K with a roller or T-bar @ 400 sf/gal. Increase airflow when film has become tack free. Wait 4 – 6 hours before next coat (under normal conditions: 65 – 80˚F and 40 – 60% RH). High humidity and cooler temperatures may extend dry times. If more than 15 hours have elapsed between coats, the floor must be abraded before next coat. Generally, two coats of seal and two coats of Platinum 2K will provide adequate protection for new floors. However, use your professional discretion to achieve desired results.
Catalyzed Platinum 2K is active up to 1 week. Platinum 2K may be recatalyzed only once. Store at room temp. Avoid freezing. If frozen, slowly return to room temperature without stirring, then stir once product has completely liquefied. Keep container tightly closed and upright when not in use to prevent leakage. Keep off floor for 24 hours. Light foot traffic until 72 hours, normal traffic after that. No rugs on floor for 10 days after last coat has dried.
