JOB DESCRIPTION
The Filling Production Manager under the direction of the Plant Manager will have responsibility for all employees assigned to the Contract Filling Department. This position directs and coordinates the filling of products in accordance with schedule, delivery, safety, and quality
Pay range $70-$75k per year

PRIMARY TASKS
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Filling production employees to ensure all products are filled efficiently, safely and with high quality to meet delivery to customers
- Promotes and ensures employees of safe operating methods and maintains a clean work environment (6S program)
- Establish and implement production rates and production processes
- Learn operation of all lines in the contract filling department – trouble shooting machines (with maintenance)
- Provides training and coaching for employees
- Reads and complies to batch tickets, weight sheets, and production work instructions
- Ensures required documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner for batch yields, weights, and performance metrics
- Tracks and communicates key production filling rates, manufacturing efficiencies, and performance to production schedules
- Partners with other departments; Scheduling, Batch making, Shipping, Maintenance
- Support managing inventory with the use of Barcoding, Kanban, and cycle counting programs
- Participate and supports our Safety, Quality System, ISO requirements
- Attend daily production meeting for on track or off track per daily schedule
- Quality check all lines for correct packaging and product
- Order packaging from our offsite warehouse
- Move finished goods to warehouse on a day-to-day basis
- Unload and load truck for offsite warehouse
Supervisory Responsibilities

- Ability to create and maintain production documentation (Work instructions,
- Hiring and firing/Conduct annual reviews and enquiry meetings
- Training/onboarding of new hire
PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Qualifications/ Skills:
- High School Diploma
- 3 to 5 years production management/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to problem solve, prioritize work, and manage multiple tasks when needed
- Good attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to defuse heightened situations
- Forklift Experience
- Must possess strong initiative, and excellent communication, leadership and organization skills.
- “Can do” attitude suited to a fast-paced team/matrix atmosphere.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to work in various environmental conditions (hot, cold, noisy, etc.).
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and on-call as needed.
