ABSCO SOLO PRO CLEAR Wood Floor Finish is a non-yellowing waterborne urethane finish. PREPARATION:
For new floors, abrade seal coat and tack with water.
For screen and coats, clean floor and then screen thoroughly with new 150 grit. Vacuum and tack with water (no mineral spirits).
APPLICATION:
Eliminate direct air drafts on floor during application. Apply with a lightweight T-bar @ 450-500 sf/gal. Increase airflow when film has become tack free. Wait 1-3 hours before next coat (under normal conditions: 65-80°F and 40-60% RH). High humidity and cooler temperatures may extend dry times. If more than 15 hours have elapsed between coats, the floor must be abraded with a SPP pad before next coat. Generally, we recommend one coat of either stain or sealer and two coats of Absco Platinum 2K to provide adequate protection for new wood floors. However, use your professional discretion to achieve desired results.
Re-Coating Procedures For Previously Sealed or Finished Wood Floors
- All wax, grease, soaps and dirt must be removed thoroughly.
- Screen lightly with a SPP pad between coats of polyurethane.
- Vacuum up all dust possible then tack floor with a clean dampened towel.
- Apply MINIMUM of two coats of polyurethane finish in the manner described above.
